Web12 de set. de 2024 · I went with the DAC 2 over the Boss DAC because I wanted a standard size HAT. The Boss dac has that large capacitor on it that sticks up. The DAC 2 has better specs for SNR and dynamic range and has hardware volume control although you won’t need that with the B&O volume. WebHere's what you need to change: Add your DAC under the specific device it's for, like Raspberry PI or Odroid id: An unique identifier. Lowercase and without spaces, possibly use the dt-overlay as id. name: the name that will represent your DAC overlay: mandatory for raspberry PI. The DTOverlay parameter, used to enable the DAC.

It costs USD $59.90 which is quite cheap for balanced output. I think the cheapest stand-alone DAC with XLR output that I have tested was US $150 ( Massdrop Grace SDAC Balanced ). WebAssembling the hifiberry amp2 actually took more time. The interface of volumio is not as slick as sonos and missing some functionalities. Adding songs to end of playlist, search function does not work very well, cannot make gapless playback work. It has some weird quirks as well, for instance time of songs played resets after changing volume.
