WebMay 31, 2012 · We managed to circumvent the costs of getting the ferry and then paying the NT entrance fee as my wife works for John Lewis. Hence we landed at Branksea Castle. The island is a pleasant experience with a whole range of wildlife wandering around. Most are tame, due to the lack of predators etc although the red squirrels try to be elusive!
